Sometimes, when you travel, it’s difficult to pack the items you want the most. If you love to bike and explore by two wheels, the City of Marshall offers a bike share program where you can rent, ride and return Trek bikes at no charge. If you want to spend the afternoon feeling the wind on your face on the Camden Regional Bike Trail, or even keep it for a couple of days to expand your adventures, stop by one of the three locations to rent a bike.
There are three bikes available at each location for you to rent, and you can use the bike for up to three days. You can stop by AmericInn, The Bike Shop or the Marshall Area YMCA and bring along a valid driver’s license or two forms of identification, fill out some brief paperwork and then go on your way. Bikes are first come, first served and subject to availability. Bike rentals come with a bike lock and helmets are available during checkout.
We have the perfect loop for you on the bike trail to make you really feel like a local. Start out at Southwest Minnesota State University and head towards the softball / baseball field, from there you can follow the trail on the back side of Marshall and SMSU following the diversion of the Redwood River. The trail will bring you through Industrial park, US Bank Corporate area, and back around to the County Fairgrounds. From there you can follow the trails in town to get back to your destination or head out down the Camden Regional Bike trail towards Camden State Park. If its windy, I would suggest staying in town, if the breeze is light see how far you can go and enjoy the ride!
Explore Marshall like a local and get to know the City’s attractions at a closer level. Adventure is a bike ride away, and with over 30 miles of paved trail on the Camden Regional Bike Trail, there are so many new experiences waiting for you.
