ADM/SMSU Environmental Learning Area

SMSU's Science Department manages the ADM/SMSU Environmental Learning Area. Located at the northwest corner of the SMSU campus, this 40-acre nature preserve features Marshall's incredible range of biomes and wildlife. Stroll the groomed trails and take in the lush fall foliage. If you're lucky, you may spot a family of deer or a red-tailed hawk! You can also visit the observation platform and spy on migrating Canadian geese.

Camden Regional Bike Trail

Looking for a brisk workout as you soak up those cozy fall colors? Pedal the Camden Regional Bike Trail. This lengthy trail wraps around Marshall, but as it follows the Redwood River at Victory Park, you get to see both incredible fall foliage and riverside views. From there, you can continue on to Camden State Park or grab a bite to eat at one of the many great restaurants in Marshall, MN.

Camden State Park is beautiful year-round, but especially during autumn! Camden State Park is a popular birdwatching spot, so you can scope out the fall foliage as you search for robins, bluebirds, finches, and the elusive peregrine falcon!
