Pokémon Meet-Up & Go Tournament
April 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeCalling all trainers! The Marshall-Lyon County Library will be hosting a Pokémon Go tournament on Saturday, April 13th. Play for prestige and small prizes! We also invite players and fans of other Pokémon games and media to stop by to chat, battle, trade, and show off your favorites. All ages welcome!
Please note that due to the nature of the Nintendo Online servers and our public wifi network, online communication for Switch games may not work over our wifi.
Rules for the tournament are as follows:
*Pick 6 Pokémon, CP 1500 or lower (Great League), each with at least one of the following types: fire, ice, dragon, steel.
*Dual-type Pokémon are allowed as long as at least one of their types is fire, ice, dragon, or steel.
*Mythical, legendary, and shadow Pokémon are allowed.
*Before each tournament match, you and your opponent will show each other your six Pokémon. After you’ve seen your opponent’s Pokémon, pick 3 Pokémon to use in that battle.
*Battle each opponent 3 times. The winner is the best 2 out of 3.
*You may use a different set of 3 from your team of 6 for each match.
Participation in the tournament requires a Pokémon Go account and a smartphone or tablet with the app installed. Players must reach level 10 in the game to have access to battles.
