Holiday Season Top 5

Tis the season to celebrate with friends, gather with family, and make memories with your littles. Do all those things, right here in Marshall at these seasonal happenings...

  1. Light Up The Night - Ride through Independence park, in a horse drawn carriage, under magically lite trees. Or stroll through on foot to hear live entertainment or maybe sneak a peek at the big man in red. Every Friday thru Sunday. 5-9pm until Christmas.
  2. Small Business Saturday - Local shops line Marshall's downtown and have everything you need to check-off your list. Then end your day with Santa & his Reindeer from 3-5pm on November 27th, next to Main-Stay Café. Don't forget to fill Santa's sleigh with Peanut Butter for Heart-to-Heart that day!
  3. Lyon County Museum - Enjoy dazzling Christmas Trees and vintage decorations at the Museum's indoor Christmas Tree Walk. Bring change for the kids to vote on their favorite decorated tree! Open Monday thru Saturday into the New Year.
  4. Live Nativity - Cruise through Cornerstone United Methodist Church Live Nativity, all from the comfort of your car. Sip on hot cocoa as you see how Santa brings the Christmas Story to life with costumed characters and live animals, on December 18th from 5-7pm.
  5. Fairbanks Ice Dogs - Tis the season for Ice... Dogs that is! The Red Baron Arena & Expo will be buzzing with excitement and entertainment as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs hockey team plays the Minnesota Wilderness on December 3rd & 4th. Puck drops each night at 7:30pm and tickets are on-sale now!
