Teen Crafternoon – Screen Printing & Tie Dye
August 22 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeOur August teen crafternoon features tie-dye & screen printing on the lawn of the Marshall Library! Bring your own white 100% cotton item to dye or dye a library-provided bandana or cotton tote bag, while supplies last. We’ll have a variety of colors, rubber bands, needle & thread, and other things you need to make your favorite design. You can also try out screen printing on any color of fabric! (Sadly, you cannot screenprint and tie-dye the same item.)
We’ll have gloves for you to wear, but make sure to wear clothes that can get stained in case of messes. Tie dye and screen printing ink will also stain your clothes! Sunscreen and other sun-protection is also recommended.
This event is weather-dependent. Due to the nature of this craft, we cannot move indoors in poor weather. We can still tie-dye in light rain, but we will have to cancel if there is a likelihood of thunderstorms or very high temperature. Likewise, please arrive before 4 pm; we may clean up before 5 pm if no one is still creating.
