DESCRIPTION:Join SMSU Theatre for the first show of our 56th season – Little Women\, a play with music adapted by Jacqueline Goldfinger from the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott. Performances are October 25 through 28 at 7:30 pm\, and October 28 and 29 at 2 pm in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door. Seating is first-come\, first-served. Admission is free for SMSU students with valid student ID. Free and convenient parking is available in lot B-1 \nIn this moving\, delightful adaptation of the classic novel\, the four spirited March sisters – Meg\, Jo\, Beth\, and Amy – led by their devoted Marmee and accompanied by music from the period\, face challenges large and small while striving to overcome their limitations and become the best versions of themselves. Little Women is about two hours long and is best suited for ages 10 and up.

The trees and museum will stay decorated through December 30. View decorated trees by area families\, businesses\, non-profit organizations\, and service organizations. \nTo vote for your favorite(s)\, place money in a box located by each tree. The top 3 organizations/businesses with the most money in their boxes will win the 2023 tree walk. There will be an online option to vote on the museum’s website. All proceeds from the boxes will go to benefit the Lyon County Historical Society’s mission of preserving and presenting Lyon County history. 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to the top 3 trees. 1st prize is $150 in Marshall Chamber Dollars 2nd prize is $100 in Marshall Chamber Dollars 3rd prize is $50 in Marshall Chamber Dollars. \nThe museum will have extended hours during this time.
