Local author and historian Joseph A. Amato will present “Defining & Writing Self” at the Marshall-Lyon County Library on Thursday, October 12th. This talk will feature his recent book, “Self, One and Many: Historical Reflections”. Amato, Professor Emeritus of History and Rural/Regional Studies at Southwest Minnesota State University, has published many titles of local and regional history, poetry, philosophy, narrative nonfiction, and historical fiction.
