Holiday Happenings: Light Up the Night
2020 has been a whirlwind of emotions for us all, so what do we need now? HOLIDAY CHEER OF COURSE! Prairie Home Hospice 4th Annual Light Up the Night is offering just that, starting on November 27th.
On opening night at 7:00 pm you will view a magical holiday Fireworks display. Taking place take atop the sledding hill, you will be able to see the fireworks fill the sky from all over town. Viewing the show from the Independence Parking lot is a magical experience as in the foreground sits all of the holiday lights.
Following the firework display make sure to stroll the park paths to view the lights up close. OR NEW this year on Saturday & Sunday nights you can DRIVE through the winter wonderland of lights from 5pm – 7pm (weather permitting)! Entrance is near the baseball field/Carter’s court and exit is through the back-parking lot near the volleyball court/hockey rink.
Light Up the Night display will be on every night of the week from November 27th – December 27th. The event is a free will donation that benefits Prairie Home Hospice, a great community organization.
Please review the below precautions they are taking, to ensure that you have a safe experience while at the park. Light up the Night says, “We ask for the communities understanding and participation in these precautions and adjustments so that we can continue this event for its duration. As we believe people need the magic and spirit of the holidays so very much right now. THANK YOU!”
